Cycling

Nature and the countryside of the wider area of Udin boršt with its relatively easy terrain, occasional slopes and especially diverse nature and rural landscape offer plenty of pleasure for cyclists of all kinds. Whether you are cycling alone, with friends or family, there is a rich variety of rural cultural and natural heritage along the way.
In a wider area of Udin boršt, two cycling routes are inviting and directing the cyclists, and these were marked with the guiding plates in the framework of the Nature Experience Borderless Project. This was held in cooperation with partners from Slovenia and Austria (Slovenia–Austria Programme 2007–2013).
The cycling routes are routed so that the cyclists learn and experience as much of the natural and rural features as possible, together with culinary delights in local pubs and restaurants. For those who like refreshments from the backpack, there are three rest places for cyclists.

Route 1: Kranj–Polica–Okroglo–Dobrava–Podbrezje–Duplje (Udin boršt) (12.5 km)
Along the way, you can see and experience the Poličar Farm with the Millstone Museum, Home of the Blind and Visually Impaired Tom Zupan with a park, the former mill (below the Okroglo village), Dobrava – Karstified and wooded terrace of the Sava River, the river confluence of the Sava and Tržiška Bistrica, Podbrezje – the village of fruit growers, Tabor with the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows, St. Mihael Church with its famous golden altars, the Vogvar House, ethnological monument of the living heritage, the Duplje Mansion, the Arneš ​​Hole (the largest cave in Udin boršt with a picturesque rock shelter), the Dopulnik Cave and Udin boršt.


Route 2: Naklo–Cegelnica–Duplje–Udin boršt–Ribniki Race–Naklo (12.5 km)

Along the way, you can see and experience the St. Peter Church (the Naklo village), locomotive museum, the monument of Gregor Voglar, the personal physician of the Tsar Peter the Great, the Janezovec Homestead in Strahinj, Sv. Mihael Church with its famous golden altars, the Vogvar House, ethnological monument of the living heritage, the Duplje Mansion, the Arneš ​​Hole (the largest cave in Udin boršt with a picturesque rock shelter), the brigands' village (at the Curved Fir Tree point), the Curved Fir Tree hiking point, the starting point for the science theme path in the Conglomerate Karst Land, the Curved Fir Tree forest reserve with Forrest hand, the Race Ponds.
