The purpose of the project was to study and deepen the existing knowledge of the three selected areas of the Karst landscape in Italy, Slovenia and France, as well as communicating this knowledge to become part of the common heritage. In this way, the people would get to know the richness of their environment. The participation of pupils represented an effective tool for the expansion and popularisation of this action.
The European dimension of the project was ensured by the participation of researchers and schools from three different countries, and the international cooperation was useful in two respects:
Udin boršt was one of the three studied Karst cultural landscapes in the project (the other two were from France and Italy), for which a variety of natural and human factors and activities in the area and the connection / correlation between them were examined. The pupils of various Slovenian schools (also the Primary School Naklo) were included in the activities, by perceiving, as well as field research work.
The project is described in detail on the website www.3kcl.net (the Slovenian part).
Duration: 2004–2005
